Similan Island Liveaboard Manta Queen 5 Trip Number 89
Manta Queen 5 sets out again on a 3 day and 3 night trip with 22 guests onboard!
We’ve had lot of PADI courses going on in this trip, with 12 PADI Advanced Courses & 1 PADI Open Water Course. Over 11 dives in 3 days, it was accomplishing seeing our divers improve their skills & confidence level underwater.
Our first 2 days were spent in & around the Similan Islands 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9. Massive boulders, swim-throughs, the "Green Monster" & occasional current make the dives more exciting & somewhat challenging. White-tip sharks, ribbon eels, morays, giant frogfish, spearing mantis shrimps, turtles, tunas, snappers, sweetlips… etc. It was all good fun & it continued into Koh Bon where we dove there for dive #8 & on day 3.
Our dives at Koh Bon were sweet & calm, with the resident leopard shark cruising by & resting at North Ridge while we watch him, neon fusiliers, glassfishes, long-nosed emperors, morays, octopus, queenfishes, humphead wrasse & tons of other fishes light up the reef at Koh Bon.
We jumped in at the Boonsung Wreck for the last dive before heading back to Thap Lamu pier in Khao Lak.
Congrats to our students:
Daniel for becoming PADI Open Water certified; and to Raffael, Angelica, Gisela, Sharon, Quinnie, Chen, Angela, Hana, Ross, Hanne-Lise, Raymond & Anja for completing their PADI Advanced courses!!
It was a great trip!! Stay safe & keep diving guys.
