Khaolak Scuba Adventures takes you daily to The Similan Islands on our popular snorkeling day trips. Clear waters and beautiful beaches is what Khaolak Scuba Adventures offer you and it is for the whole family – young as old.
We go by our spacious speed boat Flying Manta ll and its fast and fun. It takes us only an hour to go to the Similan Islands so Khaolak Scuba Adventures give you more time to snorkel, relax and enjoy the sun from Manta Queen lll our combined snorkeling, scuba diving day trip and overnight boat.
After arriving to The Manta Queen lll we have time for a cup of coffee and some fresh fruit and get in your snorkeling outfit before we go back on the speed boat for our first snorkeling experience. Divers stay on Manta Queen lll and do their diving from there so this day trip can be combined for snorkelers and scuba divers. In the bays of The Similan Islands you will have a choice of snorkeling and if possible go and enjoy the white sandy beaches or explore these unspoiled Islands.
In the clear waters you will see plenty of reef fish in all the colors of the rainbow swimming in and out between the soft and hard corals of the reefs of the Similan islands. This is their home and they won’t mind visitors if we don’t make too much noise in the water. There is no limit to what we can see on these day trips. There could be a turtle coming up for a breath of fresh air right beside you or could have luck and see some of the big fish of the Similan Islands who come to get shelter from even bigger ones. Nemo fish hiding in the anemones, butterfly fish in many different colors and shapes are feeding on the reef and swimming right beneath you. Small shrimps are hiding in cracks and different kind of cleaner fish are swimming around and looking for their next patient. We have professional PADI divers in the water snorkeling with you to guide you around and help you to spot some of the better camouflaged habitants of the colorful reefs of the Similan Islands.
After a good hour of snorkeling or exploration and relaxing on the Island we take Flying Manta ll back to Manta Queen lll for a fresh cooked lunch. We have our own chef on the boat cooking for us while we have all the fun. Both western food and local cuisine is on Khaolak Scuba Adventures tasteful lunch buffet. Water, soft drinks, tea and coffee is always available for your pleasure. After lunch we take it easy and give you time to settle you filled stomach before we go for the second snorkeling trip of the day.
The second snorkel trip Khaolak Scuba Adventures offers on this daytrip takes you again close to the Similan Islands and now we go for some more of the great snorkeling on these beautiful reefs. This trip we usually don’t go back to the beaches but take a snorkeling trip right on the reefs. We have already practiced from the beach and are now ready for some really good snorkeling where we have even more corals and fish in bright colors in the clear water. Our guide is with you in the water all the time and Flying Manta ll is close by if you wish to enjoy the sun on this spacious speed boat Hollywood style. Only be careful not to get the famous Similan injury – sunburn. A strong sunblock or a rash guard or an ordinary t-shirt can protect you from this common injury. Another good hour of snorkeling in the clear waters of the Similan Islands and we go back to Manta Queen lll.
On Manta Queen lll you can have a warm fresh water shower and rehydrate after a day in the sun with cold drinks and some fresh tropical fruit. A chance for us to get out of the wet close and make us ready for the trip back to Khao Lak.
If you want more we go out again the next day or you can spend the night in our ensuite air con cabins. We make fresh buffet dinner and watch the sun set over the Andaman Sea and The Similan Islands. Great memories to bring home from you holiday in Thailand.
After an hours fast transfer by Flying Manta ll and we are back in Khao Lak from this always joyful day trip to Similan Islands.Read more >>
