It all started somewhere about 80 km away from mainland Khao Lak. Similan Island Liveaboard trip Manta Queen 2 Trip Number 246.

With only 14 people on board of Manta Queen 2 it felt very private and promising.

For the first dive we jumped in Koh Bon Island Bay and slowly current took us to the Koh Bon West Ridge where Giant Manta Ray been spotted by one of the guest! We also found maldivian sponge snails, lobster, family of napoleon wrasses, many moray eels and some really big groupers. First dive and everyone already had big happy smiles. Second dive - Koh Bon West Ridge gave us strong current and also 2 huge Manta Rays passing in between the groups - amazing!!

Later diving Tachai Island we saw schools of barracudas, friendly octopus and many other cool creatures. We had some challenging current on that dive, however because of that there were so many different schools of fish, fusiliers getting hunted by trevallies, giant tunas, barracudas!

Next day - 3 amazing dives in Richelieu Rock that brought us mating cuttlefish, seahorses, frog fish, turtles and a lot more - we love Richelieu Rock .
Last day we went back to Koh Bon Island where we dived Hin Luang. A challenging dive it was with funny currents but amount of fish and live down there was just unbelievable. We found stone fish, some awesome nudibranches, one groups even saw white-tip shark passing in the blue. Later we also spotted another Manta Ray, this one was at least 5 meters across, a few black tip shark swimming in the shallows of the North Ridge.

It was time to go back to Khao Lak, time went very fast and everyone was sad to leave this beautiful, unique place.

Special congratulations to John for completing his PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course with our awesome instructor Judith. Well done John!
Also hands up for Evan, Devan, Victoria and Thoubad for doing their PADI Deep Dive, now they can safely go to 30 meters!

Can not wait to go back again!
