Manta Queen 1, 4 days and 4 nights liveaboard trip to Similan Islands and beyoond.

The weather has cleared up and we have a great bunch of divers at the check-in waiting to go diving. Off to the pier from Khao Lak to meet up with Manta Queen 1.

We all woke up to the amazing scenery and colors of the Andaman Sea of the Similan Islands. It was off to Anita’s Reef for our first dive. Everyone got reacquainted with diving and had a great dive. Second dive at West of Eden and the ever present spearing mantis shrimp was there to say hello to our divers and we also saw a few banded sea snakes. Dive three we jumped at Deep Six and really enjoyed the swimthroughs and boulder scenery. We did our night dive at Honeymoon Bay. Many moray eels and some lobsters were seen. We had a great dinner and everyone was tired but happy and ready to sleep so they could wake up and do it all again.

Day 2 our first dive was at Elephant Head Rock and it’s huge boulders. Dive 2 we stopped at Similan Island number 9 and dove at Three Trees, were we spotted garden eels and a friendly turtle. After the dive we rode north to Koh Bon Island and did our third dive at the famous Koh Bon West Ridge. Conditions were great and the change of scenery was awesome. It was off to Koh Tachai and the Dome, and wow was it a great dive, everyone really enjoyed the school of close to 1000 Baraccuda swimming overhead. Another awesome day of diving !

Day 3 we woke up at Koh Tachai and did The Dome again and got to explore it at deeper depths. Once again The Dome did not disappoint. We rode north for world famous Richelieu Rock. We did our final three dives of the day there. There was so much to be seen by everywhere the coral and anemone gardens and purple soft corals were in full blossom. What and awesome day!!

Our final day we did two dives at Koh Bon Island. The Pinnacle of Hin Luang and its yellow soft corals was awesome. We even spotted two stone fish and a leopard shark off in the deep hanging on the bottom at about 40 meters. Too deep for us to get close but we still watched it for a few minutes. North Ridge was our final dive at Koh Bon where we spotted a Napoleon Wrasse. We headed back towards Khao Lak for our final dive of the trip at Boon Sung Wreck. As usual it was a fantastic 4 days and 4 nights trip.

Thank you all for joining and see you soon again.
