PADI TECREC 45 COURSE

PADI TecRec 45 Course Introduction

As the title suggests, allows you to dive to a depth of 45m and perform longer decompression stops using higher oxygen content Nitrox mixes. You will also learn how to respond to specific technical diving emergencies and fine-tune some of the basic technical diving skills such as buoyancy, trim and the use of a lift bag and reel.

During this course you will use full ‘standardised’ tech rig, including wings and doubles plus an additional deco cylinder. Your instructor will teach you to go to 45 metres (145 feet) and make accelerated decompression dives using any mix of EANx or pure oxygen. You will learn how to correctly handle and mark the decompression cylinder and make safe gas switches underwater.

To begin this course you should be 18 years old, hold Rescue diver and TecRec 40 certification, have 50 logged dives (of which 12 are Nitrox Dives, 12 are dives deeper than 18 meters and 6 are dives deeper than 30 meters)
 This course takes place over 3 days, consisting of two theory sessions, equipment workshop and 4 dives conducted over 2 days.

Upon successful completion of this course you may engage in decompression diving activities without direct supervision, provided that depths and diving conditions approximate those of training.
