PADI TECREC 40 COURSE

PADI TecRec 40 Course Introduction

Is the first level in the series of TecRec courses, introducing the diver to new equipment, new skills, the use of decompression software and advanced dive computers to plan and make decompression dives with a maximum of 10 minutes of total decompression and 40 meters depth limit.

This course provides the transition from no-stop (recreational) diving to technical, decompression diving. You will learn to use a full technical diving equipment set up, with twin tanks and independent regulators. During this course you will learn how to use nitrox mixes with up to 50% oxygen content.

To begin this course you should be 18 years old, hold an Advanced Open Water diver certification, a nitrox diver certification, a deep diver certification, have 30 logged dives (of which 10 are Nitrox Dives, 12 are dives deeper than 18 meters and 6 are dives deeper than 30 meters)


This course takes place over 3 days, consisting of two theory sessions, equipment workshop and 4 dives conducted over 2 days. Upon successful completion of this course you may engage in decompression diving activities without direct supervision, provided that depths and diving conditions approximate those of training.
