Assistant Instructor Course
Become you instructor's right hand
The PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) rating makes you the right hand of any PADI instructor and a valuable employee for PADI Dive Centers and Resorts.
Your qualifications allow the dive center or resort to work under more flexible conditions and are the best preparation possible for the Open Water Scuba Instructor training, as you will expand skills that enhance an your professional capacity.
During the course you'll learn how to plan and effectively conduct classroom sessions for any PADI course. Upon completion, you may sign up for an Instructor Development Course.
Beyond the responsibilities already earned as a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor teaching opportunities include:
- certifying students as PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Divers
- conducting the complete Discover Scuba pool experience
- conducting the EFR Course (after additional training as a EFR Instructor)
- certifying students in nondiving specialties such as Equipment Specialist (after earning PADI Specialty Instructor certification)
